Keep records of loans and leases in bank computer system(s)

  • Input data such as loan number, loan amount, description of collateral, and terms of loan into the Fiserv system
  • Input data such as lease number, lease amount, description of collateral, and terms of lease into the lease system
  • Review, distribute, and mail appropriate loan and lease statements/notices
  • Process note maintenance requests
  • Edit new note information and file maintenance
  • Compute interest and principal payments, and payoffs on loans and leases
  • Post on-line entries, teller exceptions, pay-by-phones, and mail payments
  • Process charge-off loan payments
  • Process land contract payments
  • Review reports to determine validity of information
  • Reconcile various general ledger accounts
  • Correct non-posted and non-activated loan accounts
  • Reconcile insurance monthly. Submits death disability claims
  • Maintain the bank’s lender placed insurance
  • Post participation and lease payments
  • Process charge-off loans, once approved
  • Process incoming wires
  • Verify and correct E-Oscar disputes
  • Monthly reporting and remittance to various investors
  • Research and resolve customer inquiries
  • Ability to complete all Junior Loan Operations Specialists responsibilities
  • Promote and implement the bank's sales culture and service philosophies
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or university; and two to four years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals
  • Comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos
  • Ability calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of accounting software, database software, spreadsheet software, and word processing software
