Primary Duties and Responsibilities

To assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care at Registered Nurse skill level, in collaboration with the Medical Plan of Care, with a minimum of assistance. To function as primary care leader, associate, or charge nurse so that optimum quality of patient care is maintained according to the philosophy and objectives of Allen Memorial Hospital. To exercise accountability responsibility, authority, autonomy, and act as a role model and resource person with expanded theory and expertise.

Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.

Current license in the state of Iowa.

Ability to plan, assess, implement and evaluate the nursing care delivered to a group of patients.

Ability to assume responsibility for personal and professional growth.

Able to meet the physical demands as described in the ADA forms on file in the Human Resources Department.

Ability to read, write, and speak English.
