Job: Sr. Underwriter (TLP)

Jobing Description

Responsible for ensuring the effective risk selection of cases reviewed. This position requires frequent interaction with Underwriting, New Business and distribution groups.

* Analyze application and information focusing on medical and financial condition and other standard factors, which can affect mortality.
* Review all new business, underwriting mail and referrals within quality and productivity standards.
* Discuss status of underwriting process with agents /brokers.
* Refer case with amounts greater than stated signature retention authority to Senior Underwriter Consultant.
* Will gradually assume more complex life cases.
* Continually looks for ways to improve upon processes.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or four years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education experience. Prefer LOMA classes; working toward FMLI designation. Typically require 3-5 years prior life underwriting experience required.

The AEGON company's pay ranges are competitive, as they are driven by the external employment market. Pay is commensurate with experience. The salary for this position is Min. $45,000, Midpoint $61,000

An annual bonus opportunity is available to regular employees.
