Description:
Perform a wide variety of technical entry, update and retrieval activities using a variety of word processing and spreadsheet software as well as database platforms. Typical job related activities include:
* Enter and maintain test items in ACT and/or client databases, maintaining confidentiality, security and accuracy.
* Monitor and maintain the overall health of ACT and/or client databases.
* Retrieve, and export data from ACT and/or client databases to produce client deliverables.
* Import data to ACT and/or client databases from outside sources.
* Create and revise scoring files used to grade exams.
* Create and revise advanced merges and macros.
* Create, revise and execute database queries.
* Create drawings and charts for test items using graphics software.
* Develop templates for exams, and other ACT and/or client deliverables using publishing software, employing corporate print standards, guidelines, and procedures.
* Create and maintain documentation for all assigned item banking related tasks.
* Proof and quality control all entry and output documents to verify accuracy of data.
* Perform maintenance as required for ACT and/or client databases.
* Assist other staff and/or perform search files for data to provide information relevant to a particular question.
* Perform troubleshooting analysis to identify and correct system/equipment problems, and make recommended changes as identified to supervisor.
* Maintain thorough knowledge of unit s policies and procedures.
* Assist in testing new corporate software to determine suitability for Item Banking needs.
* Exercise discretion and independent judgment in developing policies and procedures, setting schedules and monitoring assigned area.
* Assist in training individuals and groups as needed.
* Communicate effectively and efficiently with internal and external customers.
Minimum
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent (Associate s degree preferred) and 2-3 years of related experience required; or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired. Demonstrated competence with computer usage and software including word processing, spreadsheet, database, and Windows operating systems. Finalist(s) for this position will be subject to a pre-employment criminal background check as a condition of employment.
