JOB DESCRIPTION:
SUMMARY
Support operations at the facility.
CONNECTION TO MISSION
This position is required to help maintain the facility at a level that allows us to remain cost efficient while focusing on all aspects of safety and ergonomics.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
Preventative maintenance checks on utility and processing equipment.
Suffice work orders to repair, testing and maintain utility equipment.
Monitor utility usage to reduce operating cost.
Respond to utility and maintenance calls.
Complete daily and weekly preventive maintenance work orders in a timely manner.
Respond to production calls regarding utilities and to minimize equipment downtime.
Maintain process safety management program.
Monitor and maintain ammonia refrigeration system and high pressure boilers.
Repair and troubleshoot electrical equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
VERBAL/WRITTEN SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and organize concepts on paper. Ability to speak effectively to employees of organization.
INFORMATION SYSTEMS SKILLS
Ability to learn and perform more complex Ross computer commands and routines. Ability to demonstrate more advanced use of computers including sound understanding of networks, Internet, and beyond basic word processing and spreadsheet usage skills.
REASONING/DECISION MAKING SKILLS
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Responsible for technical understanding of job specific decisions.
