Job: Intermediate Data Security Analyst

Jobing Description

Performs all procedures necessary to ensure the safety of information systems assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction.
Interfaces with user community to understand their security needs and implements procedures to accommodate.
Conducts accurate evaluation of level of security required.
Provides management with status reports
Set up new users, delete users, and grant additional security as well as providing daily support for the users. This position also provides systems conversion support by building new security tables, initial set up and maintenance. Performs periodic audits to ensure proper access based on business units needs
Process and respond to requests submitted to the AIT CSC via email, and abiding by security guidelines and procedures. Interact and maintain effective relationships with other AIT teams and locations and helps develop documentation as new processes and procedures evolve.
Provide general support for applications as they relate to security functions.
Serve as Level 2 support for CSC analysts regarding security access issues and provides 24x7 on-call support
Review reports for changes in user's employment status/position to identify where changes in a user's security may be needed. (terminations/transfer/chg in rpt structure/re-organizations)
Ability to handle small projects, such as automations and setup of Infopac reports.
With guidance, can work on initiatives related to process improvements for the security team and items related to the SDLC
Demonstrates aptitude for leadership by documenting and raising potential concerns or gaps in the security process.
Work towards leading projects/initiatives and acting as a mentor to team members.
Has the ability to provide mentorship to other members of the security team including data security analysts

Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in computer science or equivalent knowledge required.
- Intermediate knowledge of programming and familiarity with different systems such as web applications, web services, mainframes and emulation software, JCAPS,UNIX etc. -
- Understanding of security concepts and applying them to requests received. (SOD, concept of least privilege, handling of contractor access, concept of locking down, integration/production environments)
- Must have good knowledge of Microsoft applications such as word, excel, PowerPoint.
- 2-5 years previous related work experience is required. Insurance industry knowledge a plus.
