This Financial Analyst position is at Alcoa Davenport Works, which is part of Alcoa s North America Rolled Products (NARP) Business Unit. NARP is headquartered in Chicago and has large manufacturing facilities in Davenport IA, Lancaster PA, Evansville IN, and Knoxville TN. The ideal candidate will be geographically mobile.

Responsibilities:
Provide financial analysis of Davenport Work s administrative and manufacturing costs to all levels of plant management, marketing and sales departments, operating departments, and staff departments.
Provide financial analysis on product costing and customer profitability to plant management and marketing and sales departments.
Sheet and Plate cost accounting, burden budget development and analysis, customer quotes, customer profitability, Maintenance cost analysis
Apply analytical skills to interpret financial results and determine issues critical to Davenport Work s and the Business Unit s success.
Develop financial reports to aid management in their analysis of administrative and manufacturing costs.
Monthly closing, account reconciliations, metal shipments, outside fabricators, internal controls and self-assessed audits and compliance testing.
Manage multiple priorities and service multiple customers.
Participate in monthly financial forecasts and annual planning processes.
Support the departmental Degrees of Implementation process.

Skills:
Excellent computer skills, including experience with Microsoft applications
Ability to work well within a team environment, as well as the ability to work independently with little supervision; strong interpersonal skills
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both written and oral form
Solid understanding of business and its fundamentals and drivers
Excellent analytical skills
Strong attention to detail
A systematic and organized approach to performing tasks with accuracy
Individual must be able to work on multiple tasks and support several customers on a regular basis
Ability to drive and manage initiatives, projects, and processes
Basic Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or Engineering
Five (5) years of experience with business and financial analysis
Preferred Qualifications MBA / CPA / CMA
Relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of Oracle Ledger 11i and Hyperion.
Knowledge of Alcoa Business Systems (lean manufacturing principles) and experience in applying them.
Experience in use of query language in integrated business applications such as Essbase, Hyperion, Oracle Discoverer.
Authorization to work in the US without sponsorship.
