Position Description:

Position Responsibilities:


  • Prioritizes and organizes own work to meet deadlines

  • Assists in developing andcoordinating and implementing marketing and outreach activities including events for the UnitedHealthcare Community Plan

  • Assists in developing the annual plans for outreach and marketing to external audiences

  • Promotes positive public relations in all activities

  • Meet with providers community and faith based organizations, and school staff face to face and build relationships with each

  • Identify and target providers with the potential to help us grow

  • Work closely with internal areas to meet plan goals and collaborate to ensure member satisfaction and retention

  • Performs work projects and functions relating to community and organization activities.

Skills / Requirements


Requirements:


  • 2+ years of experience in marketing, community outreach, communications, or relationship management/client services required.

  • 2+ High degree of skill in human relations and communications including effective public speaking and presentation experience required.

  • Basic skills in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

  • Must possess a valid and current Iowa driver's license and have reliable, insured transportation.

  • HS Diploma/GED required



Assets:

  • Experience in the health care field and working knowledge of provider office and network preferred

  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.



Soft Skills:

  • Experience demonstrating organization skills.

  • Experience managing and prioritizing several deliverables

  • Experience influencing and collaborating with others

  • Ability to be flexible and work with ambiguity

  • Able to work independently with little or no supervision

  • This position can involve substantial time out of the office including occasional evenings and weekends. Possible telecommute option for this role. Locations statewide considered.
